Candahar, Ghuznee, Cabul Medal 1841-42, awarded to Private Hugh Henzey, 13th (The 1st Somersetshire) Regiment of Foot (Light Infantry), 1842. This medal was awarded by the East India Company to those who took part in the First Afghan War (1839-1842). Four different reverses were issued, indicating for which action the medal was awarded. There were ‘Candahar 1842’, ‘Cabul 1842’, ‘Ghuznee Cabul 1842’ and ‘Candahar, Ghuznee, Cabul 1842’. Henzey’s bears the honour ‘Cabul 1842’.
